This year's tour is going to be scary huge with cutouts to take your picture with, and book totes to give away at each stop. The stores and dates listed here are pretty much finalized, but do check back the day before each event to make sure there haven't been any last-minute changes.

I tend to take pictures. They are collected here

If you see a tomato! I'm trying something new this year. Individual store are joining with me in an effort to raise a few tomatoes! If you bring in a canned good, you'll get a hug from me. :-) All donations will go to a local food bank, and though I'm suggesting canned tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato soup, or tomato juice, and the like, any non-perishable food item will be welcome.

The release party of the year is happening in the city that provides the background for the best selling Hollows series that has captivated us with day-walking demon and bounty hunter Rachel Morgan. Playing with Magic: Magic is central to fantasy, whether it takes place in our world or one completely foreign. But there are many different kinds of magic: from shape-shifting to mind-reading to weather control. How does the use of magic affect storytelling? Join A.M. Dellamonica (Child of a Hidden Sea), Ilona and Gordon Andrews (Burn for Me), Kim Harrison (Witch with No Name), George Hagen (Gabriel Finley and the Raven’s Riddle), Jaclyn Dolamore (Dark Metropolis) and Jeff Somers (We Are Not Good People) as they discuss incorporating magic into the fabric of their worlds with moderator Lev Grossman (The Magicians trilogy).

SPECIAL RULES FOR B&N FIREWHEEL SIGNING: (These are not my rules, but the bookstore's to help accomodate the expected lines.)

The bookstore will not allow people to bring in outside books to be signed. Only books you buy there are allowed.
You must have a wristbands that people can pick up Saturday Oct. 11 in the bookstore beginning at 9 am. Call the store at 972-496-2000 for details.
There will be no Q&A. Signing only.

A wristband is required to enter the line to meet any or all authors. Barnes & Noble Firewheel will issue wristbands to customers on a first-come, first-served basis for this event beginning at 9:00 am on Saturday, October 11th. Please purchase your copies of books between 10/9-10/11 prior to getting your wristband and entering the signing line. You must present a Barnes & Noble Firewheel receipt dated 10/9 –10/11 to receive your wristband.

One wristband will be issued per customer and is non-transferable. The wristband is your entry to the signing line. If you choose to leave the line after receiving your wristband, you must ask someone in line to save your space.

Books purchased between 10/9- 10/11 at Barnes & Noble Firewheel location will benefit: Richardson Literacy Center (Bookfair ID# 11369162).

Please let the cashier know when making purchase.

This event is open to the public. To insure you have a book waiting for you, call 972-496-2000 and ask to speak to Laura Martinez or a manager to place an “online reservation for the Buns & Roses book fair.” You are no longer welcome to bring in previously purchased books, and must buy whatever you want signed there.
