Knitting the head is fairly straight forward with the exception of the (3 in 1) and (4 in 1) to give you the little bobbles on the head and for the nostrils. I've got a few video supplementasl to show you what I'm doing, and then another highlighting using the Kitchener stitch to bind off the muzzle instead of drawing through loops and fastening off.
