San Francisco, CA
Copperfield Books
I had a great time at Copperfield
Books, hiding in the basement talking the Hollows with used-book guru Art,
and then it was upstairs for the event--which went fabulous! Lots of
good questions. I left signed copies and Kisten arm bands, so if you're in
the area and missed the signing, stop in and get one! ;-)

And we had some tour shirts again!
Who-read-the-book count was one, another ARC reader

Books Inc.
I signed in silicon valley next, to a
fantastic crowd. Lots of burning bunnies and even a few familiar
faces. The Q&A was lively! We had one shirt slow in getting to
it's new owner, but we got her in the picture anyway.

Who-read-the-book count was three. No ARCs.

I took quite a few pictures, but these two stood
out, a late arrival with a tour shirt, and this gal who's smile reminds me
of one of Rachel's expressions. ;-)

Redheads unite! And this couple brought just
about every edition I have out. I like this shot as well because in
the background, you can see my escort, Art, and Chris, the last two, two
of they guys that work at the store.

The picture on the right: These ladies came
prepared! Blowing me away with all the stuff they put the book
covers on. And as you can see, some of my readers bring their own
security. ;-) The gal with the tattoo I remember meeting last
year at M is for Mystery. She's since added to it.

 |
 |
This woman was soooo enthusiastic! It's hard
to see, but she is wearing a toe tag and bunny pin. ;-) And I like this next
shot because it shows how wonderful the store is. There weren't many
books left for me to sign and leave, but if you're in the area,
stop in and browse their selection.

San Diego, CA
Mysterious Galaxy
And in San Diego, my favorite independent store is
Mysterious Galaxy.

|
 |
I had a fabulous time at Mysterious Galaxy.
This was the third time I'd signed here, and there were lots of familiar
faces. Not to mention OUTLAW TOUR 2008 shirts!
Who-read-the-book count = 13

Mr. G, here, has been at every
signing I've done at Mysterious Galaxy, and it was great seeing him.
He was a little more relaxed this time. ;-) And these two
ladies . . . They just reminded me a little of Ivy and Rachel.
It's hard to see with my camera, but her hair is really red!

|
 |
 |
If you go back to the pictures
of the Every Which Way but Dead tour, you'll see this gal as
well. I know she's going to hate me saying so, but she's growing
up. (grin) And I seem to remember this couple from last
year as well.

|
|

It was a family affair, and I love this shot.
She's got her book, and she's not letting go! (grin)

Third
Place Books

I had a great time at Third Place Books at Lake
Forest Park, just outside of Seattle.
There were some OUTLAW TOUR 2008 shirts, and
the who-read-the-book count was three. This is a fabulous
store, with a huge selection and a cafe. I left a lot of
signed copies and armbands, so if you missed the signing, you know
where to go!

|
This guy was right up front at the line at 3rd
Place Books, and I love the hair!
It reminded me of my own burning bunny.
;-)

|
 |
 |
|
The group on the left all came
together, and there were more than a few questions from them in the
Q&A. And this gal was soooo enthusiastic. See the armband?
(grin)

University Bookstore
University Bookstore in Seattle has got to be
one of my favorite independent stores, and this time, I got the entire
tour of the place. Wow. It's got everything, then some. There were
lots of familiar faces in the crowd, and the who-read-the-book-count
was thirteen again. Here's a shot of me and my roadies. (grin)
|
 |
 |
The first couple here were almost the first
in line, and I took their picture last year, too, but it never made it
into the official scrap book. This year, I got em' ;-) And near the
end of the line were these two. One gave me a print of his own
artwork of the vampiric charms group, and it is gorgeous.
|
And here's a shot of two people I've been in
contact with off and on for quite some time. It was great to see them
again. They don't know each other, but I had to get a shot of us
together. ;-) |

And here is my yearly shot with Duane, the
SF/fantasy guru at University Books, Seattle. Yes, he is that tall,
and no I'm not standing in a hole. We had the chance to really talk
this year, and I got the grand tour. I left him lots of signed copies
and mourning armbands, so if you missed out, you know where to get
one.

Portland, OR
Powell's Books at Cedar Hills Crossing
 |
This was the third time I'd been to
Powell's, the second at their new location at Cedar Hills, and the
people there were as wonderful as always. The who-read-the-book count
was twenty-two, and the questions were great! This is a shot of me
and my Portland Roadies! |

|
 |
 |
|
Here's one of my roadies doing
the vampiric kiss-kiss. I remember her from last year, and these next
three ladies were so excited, I had to take a picture of all of us.

Me and reader from . . .
Alcatraz, and though it's kind of fuzzy, I was really impressed with the
Hollows stuff this next gal had made up. I'm not sure, but I think
that's Jenks's red bandana. ;-)

|
 |
 |
|
This gal had been to my last
signing at Powell's, and this year, she had a pixy shirt on. And
finally, here is a picture of me and Mr. Not-Katie. (grin) |
