It's over when the candle goes out, and it's done!
We had a great response this year with over five hundred and eighty entries. It was extremely hard to just pick one winner from each category. I've listed runner ups, but unfortunately it's only the winners who get the signed ARCS of PALE DEMON.
Again, I have to thank all of you who resized the physical dimensions of your pictures as well as follow the instructions as to category and caption. I spent tons of time on this, and anyone who made my life easier was thought of favorably when it came time to pick my favorites. (grin) So thank you.
P.S. Sorry if I mangled your name. I went through these pretty fast . . . And if your picture never showed, again, I'm sorry. If we received them too large or without the information I asked for, we tried to contact you, but there were some people we never heard back from.
This is for the kiddies. If they can drive, they aren't kids anymore. ;-) Babies have a separate category. Winner will have the embodiment of Halloween in their eyes.
We had 128 entries this year in the Kid's category! Winner this year:
Karis as Astrid from How to Train Your Dragon
Runner up: Shelby as a Cheshire Cat in a tree
New category last year. It worked so well, we will have it again this year. Winner will be the most sincere pumpkin in the patch.
We had 70 entries this year. Wow!
Winner: Charlotte's evil fish pumpkin
Runner Up: Vikki's Al Halloosssss eve pumpkin
Office parties, neighborhood get-togethers, hay rides . . . Three or more people, this is where you should be. Winner will be the group that is having the most fun.
Seventy-nine entries made it very difficult, but here are my favorites.
Winners: The Stehle's vamping it up
Runner Up: Dena as Alice, Mike as TweedleDee, Danielle as TweedleDum, and Ariel as the Queen of Hearts
If you or your group is dressed for the Hollows, here is where you belong. Be sure to tell me who you are in your caption. Winner is the one that wows me the most.
The Hollows was a popular group this year. I loved seeing all the Rachel's, Ivy's, and even some of the lesser-known characters. We had
a whopping thirty-three entries. I'll be honest, this is my favorite category.
Winner: Ignacio and Brandi as Big Al dragging Rachel to the nearest ley line
Runner up: Verl as the Hollow's Tink
If your costume is too silly for words, this might be where you should be. Men in fuzzy costumes usually win this.
We had twenty-nine entries this year, and as expected, a man in a funny costume won. What can I say? I'm consistent.
Winner: Sean as the Clue fairy
Runner up: Angela and Steve as "Old Fart Ken" and "Cougar Barbie"
This is for the people who go all out and have a Hollywood-worthy costume.
There were fifty-four entries here, and it was a hard decision.
Winner: Alysse and Justin as Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf
Runner Up: Erika as Aisha Clan from Outlaw Star
Blood, guts, zombies, and blood. Did I mention blood? Winner here will make me go "yuck!"
We had thirty-two entries this year, with enough gore and blood to make me go yuck.
Winner: Verra run over by her own car
Runner up, Jennifer as an insane hungry demon, and Tony as the victim
E2 (Everything Else)
Not sure where you belong?
Here is the catch-all category. Winner will be the "embodiment" of the holiday.
There were a whopping 113 entries in the everything else category.
Winner: Gisela as Fiona
Runner up: Jacky as a Valkyrie
